Nicotine intake calculator

Most vapers have no idea how much nicotine they actually take in. Estimate your daily milligrams from two numbers you know.

mg nicotine per day (est.)
mg per week
≈ cigarettes of absorbed nicotine

How the estimate works

Each puff vaporizes a small amount of e-liquid — commonly estimated around 0.05 mL per puff on pod and disposable devices. Multiply that by your liquid's strength (mg/mL) and your daily puffs, and you get milligrams of nicotine vaporized per day. Your body absorbs only part of what's vaporized, so the cigarette line uses absorbed-nicotine estimates (a smoked cigarette delivers roughly 1–2 mg absorbed, per the research literature).

Strength context by market: the US commonly sells 5% (50 mg/mL) nicotine-salt devices; Canada, the UK, and the EU cap e-liquid at 20 mg/mL; Australia requires a prescription for nicotine e-liquid. If you're on 50 mg/mL, part of your quit plan can simply be stepping down through lower strengths — see our guides on withdrawal and tapering.

Estimates for awareness, not medical guidance. Actual delivery varies by device power, draw length, and liquid.
